The esteemed Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, participated in the regular meeting of deans of colleges of agriculture across Iraqi universities, hosted by the College of Agriculture at Tikrit University. The meeting brought together all leaders of the agricultural academic sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in Iraq.

The meeting focused primarily on the importance of developing this vital sector as a fundamental pillar for achieving food security and sustainable development in Iraq.

The esteemed deans discussed an assessment of the academic status of colleges of agriculture, determining their naming and the procedures to be taken regarding departments and their naming. They also discussed the mechanism for establishing the Smart Agricultural Engineering Department, updates on the application process for academic program accreditation, and other proposals and matters related to colleges of agriculture.
