Basra University organizes a training course on integrated wheat crop management.

The Department of Field Crops at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Agricultural Extension and Training Center, organized a course on integrated wheat crop management as part of the wheat crop support awareness program.

The course aimed to introduce the concept of management, its importance, and the strategies used in crop management. It also aimed to reduce wheat crop losses by identifying soil and crop maintenance processes and the ideal harvesting stages after determining the plant's stage, as the plant passes through different stages of maturity.

The course, which was lectured by Professor Dr. Kazim Katami, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Ridha Abdul-Wahid, Professor Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Hussein Abboud, and Professor Dr. Wafa Abdul-Amir Ahmed, included a definition of fertilization and its importance in agriculture, modern irrigation techniques, insects that affect wheat in Iraq, and the challenges facing wheat pest control.
