A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra examined the mechanical and field performance of the artificial seed drill in the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment.
The thesis, presented by researcher Safaa Karim Wadi, aimed to evaluate the mechanical and field performance of the machine.
The thesis included a field experiment on barley cultivation. The experiment involved the use of three soil speeds (6, 4, and 3 km/h), three hole depths, and two seed feeding aperture widths.
The study concluded that the artificial seed drill succeeded in the mechanical and field tests and yielded significant results in barley yield.
