The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra honors distinguished researchers at an official ceremony.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, the college organized a special honoring ceremony to honor a select group of its members in recognition of their scientific and administrative contributions. This ceremony coincided with the celebration of Iraqi Flag Day.

The ceremony honored the first distinguished researcher in agricultural and veterinary sciences, Professor Dr. Ammar Badran Ramadan, who won the Iraqi Flag Day Award. This ceremony recognized his research efforts and contributions to advancing scientific knowledge and serving the academic community.

The Dean of the College also honored the Scientific Assistant, the Administrative Assistant, the heads of the academic departments, and the heads of the divisions and administrative units in recognition of their significant efforts in supporting the educational and administrative process and achieving the college's goals of academic quality and sustainable development.

In recognition of their volunteer efforts and spirit of initiative, the participants in the University of Basra parade were honored. They contributed to representing the university in an honorable manner during community and religious events, reflecting a bright image of the university's commitment to its environment and community.

The college administration did not neglect to honor the security personnel, vehicle drivers, and service workers, whose efforts have had a significant impact on maintaining the college's environment, cleanliness, and organization. Their role was commended as an essential part of the educational system.

In a gesture of loyalty and appreciation, the College of Agriculture Council honored Mr. Al-Shawi, the Dean of the College, in recognition of his prominent and distinguished role in leading the college, his tireless efforts to develop its academic and administrative aspects, and strengthen its position among colleges of agriculture at the national and regional levels.

This ceremony falls within the college's vision to foster a culture of appreciation and motivation, and to support academic and administrative competencies, contributing to a productive and distinguished university environment.
