The University of Basra organizes a scientific workshop on the relationship between eating habits and mental health.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop on healthy nutrition and its relationship to mental health.

The workshop aimed to understand the nature of the relationship between the meals a person eats, their timing, and the impact on genetic patterns, habits, and behaviors.

The workshop, presented by Professor Dr. Nawfal Abdul Amir Hussein, highlighted the importance of eating habits in preventing, treating, or preventing many mental illnesses. He explained that following an unhealthy diet, as well as following improper eating times that contradict the human body's biological clock, are the most important causes of exposure to a wide range of mental illnesses. Improving eating habits, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and avoiding large meals in the evening is key to treating, preventing, or reducing the symptoms of many mental illnesses, which can lead to addiction and suicide.
