The College of Medicine at the University of Basra hosted an art exhibition for visual artists as part of the "Enriching the Visual Space" initiative launched by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The exhibition, organized by the Student Activities Department of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, ran from October 27th to 30th, 2025, in support of Iraqi visual artists in the governorates of Basra and Dhi Qar.

This initiative aims to promote visual arts and culture within the community, cultivate creative talents in the fields of art and culture, and foster communication and interaction among visual artists across Iraq.

The art exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of representatives from the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Mr. Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar Hussein and Mr. Zaid Ali Hussein, and with the participation of the Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed, representing the President of the University of Basra.

The exhibition featured a diverse collection of paintings and sculptures that expressed various life and social themes through creative artistic styles. The exhibited artworks were distinguished by their emulation of realism, depicting details of daily life and reflecting social issues in a visually impactful style that enhances the aesthetic appreciation of visitors.
