The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra welcomes a number of Arab postgraduate students as part of the “Study in Iraq” program.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Mohsen Jabbar, received a number of postgraduate students from the Syrian Arab Republic as part of the "Study in Iraq" program, overseen by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This visit reflects the university's commitment to strengthening academic and scientific cooperation with Arab students and activating the "Study in Iraq" program, which aims to attract international and Arab students to study at Iraqi universities, thus showcasing the high academic standing of higher education in Iraq.

During the meeting, the Dean welcomed the Syrian students, emphasizing that the College of Agriculture strives to provide a comprehensive academic and research environment that helps students achieve scientific excellence and develop their research skills. He noted that the presence of students from brotherly Arab countries contributes to the exchange of cultural and scientific experiences and fosters a spirit of academic openness.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the students expressed their gratitude to the University of Basra and the College of Agriculture for the warm welcome and the academic and administrative support they receive, affirming their eagerness to enrich their academic and research experience within the university.
