The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a specialized awareness seminar on traffic safety. This seminar is part of ongoing activities aimed at reinforcing the importance of adhering to traffic rules and safe driving practices, which are fundamental to preserving lives and property.

The college hosted Colonel Salah Ramadan Al-Asadi at the seminar, who provided a detailed and important explanation of basic traffic rules and signs, and a comprehensive review of the most important traffic rules and signals that ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users.

He emphasized the necessity of wearing seat belts and using child car seats to reduce the risk of injuries in the event of accidents, and warned against the dangers of using mobile phones while driving and their negative impact on concentration.

The seminar witnessed active participation from faculty members and students, highlighting the role of academic institutions in raising awareness and building a positive and responsible traffic culture among all members of society.
