The University of Basra is holding a dialogue seminar on the future prospects of the Department of Animal Production, Entrepreneurship and Employment

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a seminar on "The Future Prospects of the Animal Production Department: Entrepreneurship and Employment," sponsored by the college's Career Development and Alumni Affairs Unit. The seminar targeted first-year students.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Jalal Akili Yasser, Dr. Adnan Jabbar Jadou' Al-Kanaan, and researcher Ahmed Karim Jari, aimed to introduce the Animal Production Department, highlight its key advantages, and shed light on the future opportunities available to graduates. These opportunities extend beyond employment in agricultural and veterinary departments. The seminar showcased examples of graduates from the department who have secured positions in the Ministries of Education, Health, Oil, and Environment, as well as in ports and border crossings.

The seminar also included a comprehensive overview of job opportunities available to graduates in both the public and private sectors. Furthermore, it encouraged students to engage in entrepreneurship by presenting a wide range of small home-based business ideas in the field of animal production, thereby contributing to the development of their skills and enabling them to enter the job market.
