University of Basra holds an orientation seminar on your academic compass: How does the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment prepare you for the job market?

The Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, held an orientation seminar entitled "Your Academic Compass: How Does the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Prepare You for the Job Market?"

The seminar aimed to connect the academic journey of the department's students with the actual demands of the job market and to keep pace with technological advancements.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Farqad Murtadha Al-Mousawi, Head of Career Development and Employment, covered three main themes related to linking studies with employment: the value of coursework, job and self-employment opportunities available to graduates, and the future of employment in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The seminar emphasized the importance of mastering coursework, as it is the primary gateway to achieving professional aspirations and entering the job market.

Through advice given to students to facilitate their academic journey and achieve their professional ambitions, the seminar recommended that mastering coursework is the graduate's gateway to the job market.
