In an effort to strengthen scientific cooperation and exchange research expertise among Iraqi universities, a high-level delegation from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra participated in the first International Agricultural Conference, organized by the Agricultural Technical College at the Northern Technical University in Nineveh Governorate.

The delegation was headed by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, who played a pivotal role in organizing the conference. He skillfully chaired the first scientific session, contributing to the smooth flow of scientific discussions and enriching the topics presented.

The College's participation also included significant research contributions. Several faculty members presented their accepted research papers at the conference and explained their findings to a select group of researchers and academics. This reflects the College's commitment to advancing agricultural knowledge and disseminating rigorous research.

Dr. Al-Shawi was honored with the conference shield, presented by the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, in recognition of the University of Basra and the College of Agriculture's efforts in supporting scientific research and their active and distinguished participation in the conference.

This participation underscores the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah's commitment to strengthening academic and research collaboration with other educational institutions and contributing to the development of the agricultural sector by offering solutions and knowledge based on rigorous scientific research.
