University of Basra organizes a scientific workshop on artificial intelligence in academic research: usage guidelines and academic responsibility

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific workshop on "Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research: Limits of Use and Academic Responsibility for Postgraduate Students."

The workshop, presented by Dr. Khalida Salem Khudhair and Dr. Mujtaba Abdul Wahab Taher, aimed to introduce the concept of artificial intelligence and its applications in scientific research, clarify the permissible academic uses of AI for postgraduate students, and explain the ethical boundaries and scientific responsibility associated with using AI tools in preparing theses and dissertations.

The workshop included a scientific presentation on the concept of artificial intelligence and its most important tools, highlighting its positive uses in academic reformulation, summarizing previous studies, and improving scientific language.

The workshop recommended the necessity of establishing clear guidelines for the use of AI in scientific research and promoting a sound academic culture that balances the utilization of modern technologies with maintaining scientific integrity and rigor.
