As part of the requirements for obtaining a Bachelor's degree and to enhance students' research and presentation skills, the Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, has begun organizing seminar sessions for fourth-year students for the current academic year 2025-2026.
The sessions, supervised by a specialized scientific committee of faculty members from the department, featured a series of research presentations and discussions addressing vital topics in the field of food technology, most notably: food safety and quality, dairy and meat technology, functional foods, and food microbiology.
These seminars aim to prepare graduates capable of keeping pace with global developments in food science and equipping them with the scientific research tools that qualify them to enter the job market or pursue postgraduate studies with high proficiency.
