As part of its program aimed at strengthening social bonds and promoting a culture of sports among university staff, the Sports Activity Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, organized a friendly five-a-side football match between a faculty team and a staff team on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

The match, held at the dormitories' field, was characterized by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and high sportsmanship. The two teams displayed strong competitiveness, showcasing their football skills to the delight of university faculty and students, adding a vibrant dimension to university sports activities.

The match concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the participants, amidst praise for the organization, which reflects the university's commitment to providing a comprehensive university environment that integrates academic, athletic, and social aspects.
