To enhance scientific cooperation, food science students paid a field visit to the laboratories of the Field Crops Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra.

As part of the theoretical and practical components of the Grain Processing course, the Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, organized a field trip for third-year students to the laboratories of the Field Crops Department. The trip, supervised by the course instructors, Dr. Bushra Bader Jarad and Dr. Shireen Fadhil Abbas, aimed to enhance the students' practical skills and familiarize them with the latest laboratory technologies.

The visit included the Plant Physiology Laboratory and the Crop Quality Laboratory. Students received a comprehensive explanation of the most important types of grain crops, their physiological and productive characteristics, and the advanced laboratory equipment used for grain quality testing and component analysis. This information was presented by the laboratory directors, Dr. Muhannad Abdul Hussein Aboud, Dr. Wafaa Abdul Amir Ahmed, and Dr. Zainab Ahmed Abdul Razzaq, who demonstrated the precise laboratory procedures.
