The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a scientific seminar entitled “Raising Awareness of Women’s Digital Security.”

The seminar aimed to enhance digital awareness and reduce the risks of hacking and online extortion.

The seminar addressed several topics, focusing on the causes of hacking related to human behavior, the role of social engineering in exploiting trust and emotions, and highlighting the impact of these crimes on women.

The seminar also emphasized the importance of psychological and social awareness, controlling impulses, thinking before interacting with suspicious messages, and promoting a culture of reporting and seeking help, all of which contribute to creating a safe digital environment within the university community.
