The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra begins practical exams "by observation" for undergraduate studies for the academic year 2025-2026

The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra began its final practical examinations (first semester) for the 2025-2026 academic year on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The examinations were for undergraduate students in their second, third, and fourth years. The college adopted a field and laboratory "observation" examination system, which aims to assess students' practical skills and their comprehension of the scientific material through direct exposure to plant specimens, seeds, agricultural processes, and laboratory and manufacturing experiments studied during the semester.

The examination process proceeded smoothly in an academic environment provided by the college deanship and department heads. These tests are designed to enhance the practical skills that distinguish graduates of the College of Agriculture in the job market.

As part of his ongoing monitoring of the educational process, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, emphasized the importance of these examinations in strengthening students' practical skills. He explained that the college always strives to provide an ideal environment that ensures accurate assessment and a comfortable testing environment.
