Faculty members from the University of Basra participate in a scientific workshop on modern technologies for fortifying fish feed.

Two faculty members from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Dr. Jalal Mohammed Issa and Dr. Sadiq Jawad Mohammed, participated in a scientific workshop held at the Basra Governorate's Extension and Training Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture.

Their participation included delivering a lecture entitled "Modern Technologies in Fish Feed Enhancement," which addressed various types of feed additives such as growth stimulants, probiotics, and antibiotics, as well as the importance of probiotics and precursors for achieving environmental sustainability and improving fish health and growth.

The workshop aimed to utilize modern technologies in manufacturing sustainable fish feed from local raw materials to enhance fish farming in Basra and Iraq in general.
