The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra inspects the scientific laboratories to review the progress of research work.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, conducted an inspection tour of several scientific laboratories in the college's various departments. He was accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Sadiq Jabbar Mohsen.

This visit is part of the ongoing field monitoring conducted by the college administration to assess the efficiency of laboratory equipment and the availability of necessary supplies for students and researchers. The tour included an inspection of the maintenance and modernization work underway in some laboratories to ensure their compliance with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.

During his tour, the Dean emphasized that the college prioritizes laboratory development, noting that "the laboratory is the cornerstone for producing sound scientific research that contributes to serving the agricultural sector and society."

For his part, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs explained that the college administration is working according to a well-defined plan to modernize laboratory equipment and activate scientific partnerships in a way that serves the college's academic mission.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Dean expressed his gratitude and appreciation for all the efforts made by the technical and teaching staff in maintaining the continuity of laboratory work and raising the academic standards of the college.
