The study involved extracting the active ingredients from radish and carrot seeds, investigating their antioxidant and antimicrobial properties, and using them to preserve catfish fillets at a refrigeration temperature of 4°C for 15 days.

The study recommended that food preservation companies and fishermen use radish and carrot seed extracts as a natural, effective, and safe alternative to BHIT in fish preservation, due to their high efficacy in reducing oxidation and bacterial activity.
