The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmed Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, participated in a workshop organized by the University of Basra, titled "The Scientific Plan for the Academic Year 2025-2026 and the Roadmap for Scientific Development." The workshop was sponsored by the University President, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim Al-Asadi, and supervised by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbas.

The workshop was held at the College of Engineering at the University of Basra and was attended by a number of college deans and academics.

Dr. Haider Khazal Mahbas delivered a comprehensive lecture in which he reviewed the main themes of the university's scientific plan. He also addressed how to develop a clear roadmap for promoting and advancing scientific research in line with academic quality standards and international rankings.

The workshop aims to consolidate the principle of strategic planning in the educational process and achieve integration between colleges and research centers, contributing to raising the level of university performance and continuously developing the academic environment.
