The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra inspects the progress of the final exams and follows up on the technical updates in the research units.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, inspected the examination halls for undergraduate and graduate students to monitor the progress of the final exams for the current semester and to observe firsthand the examination environment and the availability of logistical and technical resources to ensure student comfort.

The Dean also conducted an inspection visit to the Food Research and Consumer Protection Unit, where he received a detailed briefing on the operation of the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS). He emphasized the importance of optimally utilizing these advanced technologies to serve researchers and graduate students.

Furthermore, the Dean reviewed the software updates for the laboratory equipment in the unit, stressing that keeping pace with software developments ensures the accuracy of research results and enhances laboratory performance to meet international quality standards.

The Dean concluded his tour with a visit to the Medicinal Plants Unit, where he inspected the plant shade structure and emphasized the importance of maintaining the plant cover and providing a suitable environment for researchers' experiments in this vital field. The Dean added, "Our college strives to provide a comprehensive educational and research environment, from well-equipped examination halls to laboratories furnished with the latest technologies and software, to support the scientific progress of our students and researchers."
