The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra participated in the Chinese Consulate's celebration of the 77th National Day and praised the bonds of joint cooperation.

In response to a kind invitation from the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Basra, an official delegation from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, headed by the Dean, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, participated in the official celebrations marking the 77th National Day of the People's Republic of China. The event was held at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Basra.

On behalf of the Dean and staff of the College of Agriculture and the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Al-Shawi and his delegation extended their warmest congratulations to the Chinese Consul General, the diplomatic mission, and the friendly Chinese people on this national occasion, expressing their pride in the deep-rooted relations between the two institutions.

During the ceremony, the College delegation emphasized their profound gratitude and appreciation for the ongoing support and fruitful academic and research cooperation with China, which contributes to the exchange of expertise and the transfer of modern technologies and innovations that enhance efforts to develop the agricultural sector.

For his part, the Chinese Consul welcomed the University of Basra delegation, praising the strength of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to strengthening scientific partnerships and developing future cooperation. He wished Iraq and its people continued progress and prosperity.
