A master's thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, explored the "Design, Manufacturing, and Testing of a Dusting Machine Against Palm Dust Mites."

The thesis, submitted by researcher Radwan Falah Mohammed, aimed to design and manufacture a pneumatic dusting machine for dispersing dry sulfur powder on palm trees and to evaluate its performance in controlling palm dust mites.

The study examined the effect of the geometric shapes of the powder discharge gates and operating pressure levels on the working width, uniformity of dust distribution, coverage efficiency, and control effectiveness. It also assessed operational and economic indicators and noise levels.

The study recommended adopting the developed machine and further developing its design to enhance the efficiency of agricultural mechanization and palm pest control.
