The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra inspects the infrastructure and follows up on the maintenance of laboratory equipment.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, conducted a field inspection tour of several college facilities, including classrooms, scientific laboratories, and faculty offices, to assess the infrastructure and services and monitor the progress of academic and practical work.

The tour included an inspection of laboratory and electrical equipment to determine its readiness and efficiency in supporting practical lectures, scientific experiments, and research, as well as to review the actual needs of the academic departments.

The Dean directed the technical and engineering staff to conduct a comprehensive inventory of equipment and monitor its condition regularly, while expediting the repair and return to service of any non-functioning laboratory and electrical equipment to ensure the continuity of scientific and practical activities at the college.

During the tour, the Dean also met with several faculty members, listening to their observations and suggestions regarding the development of the educational environment and the improvement of services and infrastructure. He emphasized the Dean's commitment to providing the necessary resources for academic and research work and to utilizing all available means to enhance the quality of academic and service performance.

This tour is part of the Dean's ongoing field monitoring efforts and his dedication to creating a suitable educational and research environment for students and faculty, as well as improving the level of services and academic facilities.
